The ancient ice-house has been recently restored. It was built by Guido, Roberto’s grandfather, in 1928.
It is a brickwork structure with an elliptical plan. In the past it was used to store and preserve ice.
Its main axis is 4,80 mt long, the shortest one misures 3,70 mt and it is 5 mt hight.
There is a doorway on the vault. It was walled up in the Fifties. It led to the above butcher’s. We can still see the loading chute, along which the ice was let in.
The place has been trasformed into a small museum didicated to the countryside tradition. Here you can find farm tools, glass object, furniture and several memories from old days.
